Very interesting retreat at my research institute FBK (Fondazione Bruno Kessler)! Here there is the program of the retreat. There are many uber-interesting invited speaker. Personally I’m really looking forward to listen Prabhakar Raghavan (Head of Yahoo! Research) – USA, Hendrik Berndt (VP & CTO of DoCoMo Eurolabs) – Germany/Japan, Ray Perrault (Director Artificial Intelligence Center – SRI) – USA and Wolfgang Wahlster (CEO and Scientific Director of DFKI) – Germany.
Let me know if you would like to join us!

The program looks interesting indeed, although I would not call this a symposium on “New directions for scientific and technological research”; this meeting deals with a tiny fraction of the topics typically covered by scientific and technological research, those where FBK seems most involved in.
Nothing wrong with that, but in my opinion the title of the retreat should have reflected that, if only for FBK to fully ackowledge, to itself and to the public, the focus of its activity.

Yes, you are right. The focus is on FBK research interests! Maybe I didn’t write it very clearly in my post! But I thought it could be interesting for some other people in the area too!
    Are you going to come?
